About Dr. Katie Eastman
Dr. Katie Eastman

Dr. Katie Eastman has held a series of mental health related positions working with children and families, culminating in work with seriously ill and dying children and most recently adults with Cancer.
Marveling at people's ability to be present, joyful and grateful in some of the most challenging of life's circumstances, she has learned from them how to value life and the potential we all have to be the change we imagine.
Believing that spirituality at any age can be an integral aspect of living our best life, she attended Boston University School of Theology and The University of Houston School of Social Work and acquired a Docorate in Child Psychology. Her dissertation told the story of one of Katie's greatest teachers, Jason DeBusk, whose "never give up" attitude continues to inspire her today to live better than yesterday and led Katie to found a non-profit organization in his memory, The Jason Program.
The organization, now called Children's Palliative Care Community, continues to support seriously ill chlldren and their families through one of life's most difficult circumstances by engaging community members with families in need.
Currently, directing her skills, gifts and talents as a change agent, Dr. Katie is Chief Advisor to a leading multi-media provider of lifestyle content, The Best Ever You Network. Together with the founder and CEO, Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino, she co-hosts The Best Ever You Show on Blog Talk Radio and has just contributed to a book, 'Percolate' that will be published in August by Hay House Publishers.
As a counselor, consultant and author, Katie brings all of her experiences as a change agent and beliefs about how our physical, emotional and spiritual balance contributes to our well-being.
